Casella, a UK-based manufacturer of monitoring and measurement equipment, is renowned for providing highly accurate tools for measuring sound levels. Their equipment helps enforce noise regulations by determining when noise levels exceed legal limits. Casella needed a mobile solution that could meet the stringent accuracy and reporting requirements necessary for issuing enforcement orders that stand up in court.

One Limitless was recommended to Casella to build a complex mobile application capable of controlling custom hardware. The app needed to capture audio, video, and GPS data simultaneously from multiple sources and compile this information on the device. It also had to generate a report and print infraction notices using a mobile-connected Bluetooth printer. The solution had to be robust, as it was designed for use by the police force in South Asia, where precision and reliability were critical.

The Challenge

One Limitless collaborated with Casella to develop a custom mobile app that connected their sound level meter to an Android device via Bluetooth. The app captured audio, video, and GPS data simultaneously, generated reports, and printed infraction notices via Bluetooth. All data was securely stored and uploaded when network access was available.

The app now enables police in South Asia to efficiently capture and report noise violations in real time, providing an essential tool for enforcing noise regulations with court-ready documentation.
